    Partnership Firm Exception

Property held by a partner on behalf of the firm using accounted-for partnership funds is not considered benami. This exception recognizes the legal relationship between partners and the firm, provided transactions are transparent and documented. If personal property is held in a partner?s name without firm funding, it may still attract benami scrutiny.
