    Section?314(b) allows financial institutions to voluntarily share information about suspected money-laundering or terrorist-financing activities with peer institutions, after notifying FinCEN. Shared information is covered by a liability ?safe harbor.? This encourages cooperative detection efforts, enabling institutions to pool insights and file Suspicious Activity Reports more effectively.
