    Vertical Merger

vertical merger occurs when two companies operating at different stages of the same supply chain combine. For example, a manufacturer merging with a supplier or distributor. This type of merger aims to improve efficiency, reduce costs, secure supply or distribution channels, and enhance control over the production process and quality management.
